Niaz Persian Kitchen

Rich, Comforting Flavors

Niaz Persian Kitchen brings the rich, comforting flavors of Persian and Mediterranean cuisine to Banks Food Hall, with dishes rooted in heritage, family recipes, and a lifelong love of sharing food.

The concept continues the owners’ hospitality journey after years of owning and operating Wood Stone Mediterranean Restaurant from 2010 to 2019. Though they stepped away to spend more time with family, their passion for cooking and serving the community never left. Niaz gives them a new way to share the recipes and flavors their guests have loved for years.

The menu features Persian and Mediterranean-inspired favorites, including house-made hummus, Greek salad, chicken kabob, beef Gheimeh stew, Niaz pasta, yogurt-based dips, and house-made ice cream. Many recipes have been passed down through generations and are still prepared using traditional techniques.

The name Niaz is Persian, often expressing need, affection, or a heartfelt offering. That meaning carries through the food itself: thoughtful, comforting, and made to bring people together.

Joining Banks Food Hall felt like the perfect next chapter, offering a lively riverfront setting where families, locals, and visitors can gather, explore different cuisines, and experience the food Niaz is proud to share.
